The Divine Offices

For Benedictines, there is no greater work than that of praying the Divine Offices. A new Breviary has been compiled by the Abbot for use by the Companions of St. Luke, and is used for all Offices. The Companions add various intercessions as well. In our prayers, the Companions lift up the Church Universal, the Anglican Communion and our part of the Communion, the Episcopal Church. We offer prayers for all bishops, priests, deacons and other ministers. Closer to home, we pray for the petitions of others: for the ill, for those coping with the stresses of our time and in their individual lives, for the disenfranchised and for our benefactors who have supported the Abbey with their prayers and gifts.

The Divine Offices are recited:

Matins/Mass - 7:00 am
Sext - 12:00 noon
Vespers - 5:00 pm
Compline - 8:00 pm
