Living Arrangements
Because of their work or mission, all members of the Community do not live at the Abbey. This is not a new concept in monastic life; some early monastics did not live together, but lived in close proximity to their faith community. The solidarity of the Community is based not on physical proximity but on the Companion's commitment to each other, the Rule of St. Benedict and the Community's Customary and Constitution.
